Motorcyclist dies in Clinton County collision

DALLAS TWP. - A Saginaw-area man was killed Saturday in a motorcycle collision in rural Clinton County, sheriff's officials said in a statement.
Daniel O'Connell, 29, of Bridgeport, was killed when his motorcycle and another driven by Jesse Biermaker, 28, of Birch Run, collided at about 5:20 p.m. on M-21 between Jones and Clintonia roads, according to the Clinton County Sheriff's Office. The two men were traveling together, the statement said.
O'Connell was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said. Biermaker was airlifted to Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids.
The accident remains under investigation, authorities said.
