Motorist killed in rollover accident near Mason

VEVAY TWP. – A motorist was killed early Sunday in a vehicle rollover accident early just south of Mason, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Sheriff’s officials said the driver lost control of a black GMC Jimmy at about 3 a.m. on northbound U.S. 127 south of Kipp Road. The vehicle rolled several times before coming to a rest on Hull Road.
The victim was the sole occupant the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The department did not release the person’s name or gender.
Speed appeared to be a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation, authorities said.
