Firefighter open house on Saturday

DELTA TWP. — Lansing-are fire departments will conduct live-burn and vehicle extrication demonstrations at an open House on Saturday.

The open house will be held 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Home Depot at 936 S. Waverly Road in Delta Township. It will also include a fire extinguisher demonstration and kids' safety trailer.

Firefighters from the Lansing and East Lansing and Meridian, Delta, Lansing and Delhi townships fire departments will be on hand.

The event coincides with Fire Prevention Week, which this year encourages installation of smoke alarms throughout every home.
