ALAIEDON TWP. – A non-profit agency that helps people recover from traumatic brain injuries said it will start work on a major expansion in June.

The $3.5 million project will include a new, 6,000-square-foot residential facility and 4,000 square feet of new clinical space, the Origami Brain Injury Rehabilitation Center said in a news release.

Center officials said the project will create more than 20 jobs. They did not say whether those jobs will be temporary or permanent.

The center is a partnership between Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine and Peckham Inc.
