Lord Huron appears on the "A Walk in the Woods" soundtrack.

Michigan natives Lord Huron have contributed five songs to the soundtrack to "A Walk in the Woods," the much buzzed-about Robert Redford-Nick Nolte flick that's in theaters now.

One of the songs on the soundtrack is a new recording called "The Birds are Singing at Night." The other four – "She Lit a Fire," "The Ghost on the Shore," "Brother (Last Ride)" and "Ends of the Earth" – appear on the band's 2012 studio album, "Lonesome Dreams."

Lord Huron's mix of warm roots music and alternative pop is perfect for "A Walk in the Woods." The Ken Kwapis-directed film is based on the writings of Bill Bryson, whose "A Walk in the Woods" book tells the tale of his adventures hiking the Appalachian Trail.

The "A Walk in the Woods" soundtrack is out today.

Lord Huron brings together Okemos High School graduates Ben Schneider (lead vocals), Mark Barry (percussion, vocals) and Tom Renaud (guitar, vocals) and Eaton Rapids graduate Miguel Briseño (bass, percussion). The group is currently based in Los Angeles.
