WEBBERVILLE – — After an intensive search, police have found a 14-year-old Fowlerville girl who was reported missing in Webberville.

The girl was located about 9:45 p.m. and has been reunited with her family, said Rob Dale, Ingham County’s deputy emergency manager. He described the girl as a runaway.

Ingham County officials issued an alert for the missing teen, who had last been seen around 4 p.m. at Webberville High School, shortly before 9 p.m.

Police set up a command post and were searching fields and wooded areas using dogs. Numerous police agencies joined the effort, including the Michigan State Police, who deployed a helicopter.

Dale said he was on his way to the command post when he spotted the girl running across Grand River Avenue and followed her into a residential area. The girl was found a short time later, he said.
