How about Michigan State vs. Florida at Breslin Center?

A home-and-home series between MSU and Florida is in the works, ESPN's Andy Katz reported today, and he said it would involve games in East Lansing next season and Gainesville, Florida, the following season "if they can get the deal done."

MSU already has a game lined up against Kansas in the annual Champions Classic, on Nov. 17 in Chicago. Then the Spartans will travel to Anaheim, California, to take part in the eight-team Wooden Legacy Classic on Nov. 26, 27 and 29. Arizona, Providence and Boston College also are in the field.

After that, MSU will play in a Big Ten/ACC Challenge game to be determined – the Spartans played at Notre Dame last season, but Tom Izzo said playing at home in the event is "not for sure."

Katz, whose employer sets up and airs that event each year, speculated that likely Big Ten favorite Maryland could be matched up against North Carolina, with Indiana taking on Duke. If that's the case, MSU could potentially be paired with Virginia, a team it has defeated in the past two NCAA tournaments.
